WW1 Colt US Army Model 1917 .45acp. Immaculate condition. One of the last pieces of my collection I have to sell. This was one of the most elusive when I was building my collection because I wanted the Colt instead of the Smith and Wesson, and I also wanted it chambered in .45acp and not .45 Colt like the Colt New Service from the Spanish American war.

Sweet gun, springs are strong, shoots with or without half moon clips.

This is is the gun the war department wanted when they couldn’t build 1911’s fast enough for World War 1 and they needed something that could fire the .45acp cartridge. So they adapted the new service which fired a much higher pressure .45 Colt to fire the .45acp and that makes this very strong and durable.

It looks even better in person.

Price is firm. I will ship it to your FFL if you cannot purchase it Face to Face.
