The Safari has the deluxe walnut furniture, engraving, gold trigger and the quality that Belgium manufactured FN / Browning firearms are noted for. The Browning Bar II is rated amoung, if not the best semi-autoloading magnum-caliber rifle made. Dependable, reliable, powerful !
The .338 is ideal for any large, tough skin, dangerous North American game. Being an auto-feeding style rifle the recoil is managable yet has exceptional knock down power at distance.
The gun has been hunted and with the exception of some marks on the butt-stock shown below and a few other -very- minor marks is in great condition.
The barrel bore is clean, sharp and bright and I would put the bluing at 98 / 99%, only a little bit of wear on the end of barrel. Gun is not equiped with iron sights or BOSS system.
