The cylinder features portraits of six legendary Texas Rangers……Maj. John Jones, served as commander of the Frontier Battalion and later as adjutant general of the Texas Rangers.  Capt. Leander McNelly fought tirelessly against border bandits, showing no mercy to outlaws and no patience for vigilantes.  Sgt. John B. Armstrong, nicknamed “McNelly’s Bulldog” – whose arrest of killer John Wesley Hardin remains one of the most famous showdowns in Ranger history.  Capt. Bill McDonald believed that “No man in the wrong can stand against a fellow who’s in the right and keeps on a-comin’.”  Capt. Dan Roberts spent most of his life in one Texas battle or another, fighting in numerous border wars, the Civil War and many Ranger campaigns.  Sgt. James B.
