Manufacturer: Savage
Model: 1899H
Caliber: 30-30
New / Used: Used

This is a Savage 1899H manufactured in 1914 and chambered in 30-30. It has a later 24" round barrel that has good blue except for a small amount of minor pitting near the front sight, the rifling is sharp and bright. The rear sight is missing the elevator. The metal on the receiver has quite a bit of patina white metal on the sharp edges and around the bottom from being carried. The action is very tight and in perfect working condition. It feature and functional cocked indicator and shell counter for the internal rotary magazine. The wood like the receiver has a lot of patina. The toe of the stock has very small chip out of it and the serialized forend has a hairline crack. This is a very honest old rifle that would make a great restorer or shoot.
