The Sig Sauer P228 is a design derivative of the P226 pistol, adopted into military service as the M11 pistol. It differs from its cousin by its slightly shorter barrel and grip, as well as being chambered in 9x19mm only. It is mechanically similar to the P229 pistol, with the only real difference being the construction of the slide being from stamped carbon steel instead of milled stainless. This example is in excellent condition and still has its factory grease inside the action, indicating practically no use.
