This original 54Cal Model 1842 pistol, possibly made for the US Navy, has a 6” patinaed barrel mounted with a gold bead front sight. The bore is pitted. The Walnut stock is mounted with brass furniture including a barrel band and a brass inlay in the butt. The percussion lock is activated by a single trigger. There are unrepaired cracks in the butt of the stock, through the lock bolt and in front of the lock plate. There are quite a few usage dents and dings, deep scratches on the right side of the barrel close to the muzzle and around the butt and missing barrel band pin and ramrod.
