FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Level 3+ is capable of stopping mild penetrating rounds such as M855A1 Green tip but is not rated to stop. 30Cal M2 AP rounds like with level 4.
WHY LEVEL 3+ AS OPPOSED TO LEVEL 3 OR LEVEL 4?
Level 3+ is a goldilocks zone, it offers the user more protection than standards level 3, but less so than level 4. In real-world situations, as a normal citizen, you are unlikely to be in a situation where armor-piercing rounds are being fired at you. Additionally, 3+ is significantly lighter at 4.4 pounds as opposed to Level 4 at 5.5 pounds.
WHAT ARE THESE PLATES MADE OUT OF?
Level 3+ plates are made out of a combination of PE and Ceramic, with a layer of polymer that surrounds the armor.
DO YOU HAVE TO BE CAREFUL WITH CERAMIC PLATES?
Yes, don’t treat plates like bowling balls, if you throw them or drop them intentionally it could compromise the structure.
