This is a Springfield M1 Garand manufactured in November 1943. The wood is a beautiful deep red from age and there are dents and dings from the history this rifle has seen. The side has a couple of cartouches s well as the 'P' proof mark on the grip. There may even be som part of a rack number left on the stock behind the rear sight. The muzzle (1) and thoat (1) readings for this rifle are really low so it will be an accurate shooter for many thousands of rounds.
