Kimbers Offers One Thousand Target Match .45 ACP Pistols (article from May 5, 2005)

Yonkers, New York May 5, 2005 - for the second time in company history, Kimber has announced the prdocution of this limited edition pistol. One thousand Target Match .45 ACP pistols will be produced. A special serial number sequence of KTM0001-KTM1000 will set them apart.

The Target Match has a striking appearance. The frame has matte black finish over the curves and brush polished flats, along wtih the 30 LPI checkering on the front strap and under the trigger guard to encourage a higher grip for more control during rapid fire. 

The slide also is matte on the curves and brushed polished on the flats. A traditional slide with internal extractor and adjustable sight, it has a wide serration pattern, match grade barrel and chamber. This pistol does not have the Series II system.

The trigger is solid aluminum set to break clean at four pounds, and the Target Match includes an ambidextrous thumb safety, the new Kimber bumped and groved grip safety and black small parts. Special grips round out the package. 

Suggested retail price is just $1,336. The Target Match was made entirely in the Kimber factory in America.
