Founded in 1981, Trijicon has long been making extremely tough, durable optics for demanding conditions. The Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight (ACOG) was introduced in 1987, and in the 1990s, the US Special Operations Command (SOCOM) contracted with Trijicon for a variant with integrated backup iron sights and christened it the TA01NSN, reflecting its National Stock Number status. This optic offers a fixed 4x magnification with an extremely clear reticle and exceptional glass quality. This example was made in 2019 and is in Like New in Box condition, showing only exceedingly limited signs of prior use.

The optic features a duplex crosshair reticle with integrated bullet drop stadia calibrated for 5.56mm ammunition. The stadia additionally feature rangefinding lines for the corresponding distance. The crosshair is tritium illuminated with a green color. The backup iron sights consist of a rear aperture and a front post with tritium illumination. The tritium has plenty of life left and glows brightly in low light.

The optic body is in Like New condition with exceedingly little wear or handling marks. Turret caps are present and are retained by wire. The optic comes with the factory standard 1913 rail mount.

This ACOG is a modern example of the classic SOCOM optic, and it just as suitable for field use as it was in years past. With the majority of its tritium life left, this optic is a great way to get a bomb-proof optic for less!
