The Henry SPD CRUSR 45-70 (model H010FE) is a compact lever action rifle in .45-70 Government from Henry's Special Products Division. Henry designed it with the gear team at Field Ethos for guides, outfitters and hunters who go deep into remote country. A ghosted "FE" logo under the ejection port marks the collaboration.Weight was a big part of the design. The 16.5" match-grade 416R stainless barrel is tension-wrapped in carbon fiber, which keeps the whole rifle at 6.7 lb and 35.25" overall. The muzzle is threaded 5/8x24, so you can hunt with a suppressor to cut recoil and noise. Twist rate is 1:22.The finish is meant to hold up on an ATV rack or in a bush plane. Henry puts DLC coating on the parts that wear, like the bolt body, trigger, hammer and side loading gate. The rest of the exposed metal is Midnight Blue Cerakote, and the synthetic pistol grip stock and M-LOK aluminum forearm are Midnight Bronze Cerakote. Unlike other Henry rifles, the magazine tube has no cartridge cutout, which helps keep dirt out.For sights you get an adjustable ghost ring rear on the receiver-mounted Picatinny rail and a brass bead front with a Cerakoted base. If you want glass, mount it on the rail, or use the Weaver 63B hole spacing under it. Capacity is 4+1, loaded through the side gate. Safety is Henry's transfer bar, length of pull is 14" and the buttstock has a solid rubber recoil pad.Every CRUSR is built in Rice Lake, Wisconsin, and inspected and certified by an SPD engineer.
