The Ruger Mini-14 Tactical (model 5888) is the Mini-14 ranch rifle action set up for modern use. It runs Ruger's Garand style action with a breech bolt locking system, a fixed-piston gas system and a self-cleaning moving gas cylinder, so it keeps running in dirt, heat and cold.


The 16.12" barrel is cold hammer forged with a 1:9" right-hand twist. The muzzle is threaded 1/2"-28 and has a factory flash suppressor installed. This one wears a black synthetic ATI Strikeforce stock that collapses through 6 positions and folds to the side for storage and transport, with a polymer pistol grip.


Sights are a non-glare protected blade up front and an adjustable ghost ring aperture in the rear. The scope mounts are machined into the solid steel receiver and the scope rings are in the box. The receiver is also drilled and tapped for the included Picatinny rail.


It comes with two 20-round magazines, the Picatinny rail and scope rings.
