The “R” is the accessory rail on the dust cover, so it takes any standard light or laser. Forged aluminum frame, forged carbon steel slide, 3.9" barrel, 12+1 capacity, about 27.5 oz empty. Compact enough to carry, heavy enough that .40 recoil stays flat instead of snappy. The grip frame is the classic P229 shape that points naturally and fits a wide range of hands with no adapters or backstraps.
