As new CMMG Dissent 7.62x39 for sale. My mistake can save you some $'s. Let me explain.
I love the 7.62x39 catridge. In my opinion, based on my time in Vietnam as a REMF (if you served in the RVN you know what that means) in a combat unit, I constantly heard negative comments from our guys regarding the 5.56 compared to the NVA's 7.62. Also, as a member of the Army when the M16 was being introduce with all it's problem (mostly due to the DOD specifing the wrong gunpowder in the cartridges) I had an inherent dislike of the rifle.
A few years back RRA introduced an AR platform chambered in 7.62x39 and I relented and bought one. Good gun, but I was never comfortable with its operation that differed from my other semiautos, even though I have killed many hogs with one round. with it. I'm not a deer hunter but if you can drop a 200 pound hog with one round, you can drop anything except a bear in North America with it.
When I discovered the CMMG Dissent line in 7.62x39, I jumped on it in spit of its price. It is a very well built gun and shot extremly well from a rest with the one box of ammo I ran through it. It's also very heavy, hence my decision to sell a basically new rifle for way less than I paid for it, not counting sales tax. At almost 80 years old it is just too heavy for me to carry through the woods all day.
Thanks for reading my story. Feel free to ask any questions. This is a gun I would have no qualsm selling to my best (younger) friend. Face to face cash only within 50 miles of Stuart, Florida.
