Ruger American Gen II Scout .308

The Ruger American Gen II Scout chambered in .308 Winchester is a right‐hand bolt‐action rifle designed to deliver compact versatility, rugged reliability, and fast handling in a scout‐style configuration. It features a 16.1‐inch free‐floated alloy steel barrel finished in Cobalt Cerakote for enhanced durability and corrosion resistance. The barrel uses a 1:10 twist rate, ideal for stabilizing a wide range of .308 projectiles, and is threaded 5/8×24, equipped with a threaded flash hider and pinned front sight for improved control and low‐light functionality. The rifle is fitted with AR‐style adjustable sights with a flip aperture, providing quick target acquisition, while the extended Picatinny rail allows for forward‐mounted optics in true scout rifle fashion. Ammunition is fed from a 5‐round AICS‐pattern detachable magazine, and the oversized bolt handle enhances manipulation speed and ease of use.

The rifle is outfitted with an adjustable synthetic stock in Leaf Green, featuring a cheek riser and recoil pad, along with a length‐of‐pull adjustment range of 12 to 13.75 inches to accommodate a wide range of shooters. A 3‐position safety provides secure and intuitive control, while the Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger allows for a clean, customizable trigger pull to improve accuracy. Measuring just 37.35 inches in overall length and weighing 6.5 pounds, the American Gen II Scout offers a lightweight, highly maneuverable platform that combines modern materials, versatile sighting options, and practical design—making it well suited for hunting, defensive use, and field applications where mobility and adaptability are essential.
