Ruger SR1911 LW .45 ACP caliber 1911 pistol

"LW" for Light Weight, about ¹/2 pound less than a standard 1911

I recently (August 2026) acquired this in a trade, and have not shot it yet.

But I figured I'd post it here as trade-bait, in case I see something I want even more.

Or if somebody wants to give me fiat American dollars for it, I would be O.K. with that too.  I haven't had this long enough to develop any sentimental attachment to it.

• SKU 06792

• "Features a lightweight aluminum frame and polished titanium feed ramp."

• Barrel Length - 5 inches

• Grip Frame - Black Anodized Aluminum

• Weight - 31.1 oz.

The feed ramp is made out of Titanium – this is important if you shoot a lot of ammo with aggressive-profile JHP bullets – it can chew up your feed ramp if it is made out of aluminum.

Ruger is the only 1911 maker that machines the plunger tube into the frame – no worries about it working loose under recoil. This is important, because if the plunger tube works loose under fire, your gun is dead in the water. A really nice added touch that can save your bacon.
