What's Included

  • Bergara B-14 Timber .30-06 rifle

Bergara is based in the Basque Country in Spain, and has been making firearms under the DIKAR collective dating from the 1960s. Long known for their excellent barrels, Bergara introduced the B-14 to the American market in 2015. This model is the Timber, which sports several premium features: a fine satin-finished walnut stock, grip and forend checkering, a Monte Carlo comb and a hinged magazine for easy unloading. Importantly, the B-14 line shares the same footprint as that of the R700, enabling the use of a vast array of aftermarket stocks.

This B-14 Timber features a typical bolt action with a two-lug bolt arrangement familiar to any shooter. A classic side-mounted flip safety is present. A portion of the bolt is left in the white per tradition. The trigger is crisp and light. The action of this rifle is in Like New condition – the bolt operates exceptionally smoothly with zero hangups or binding. The finish on the action is in Like New condition with essentially no handling marks noted.

The rifle is fitted with a Weaver rail for mounting optics. It does not appear that a scope has ever been mounted to this rifle.

The rifle’s 24” barrel is factory standard. The bore is in Like New condition with sharp lands and grooves and a mirror bright finish. The target recessed crown is in similar condition.

The rifle’s furniture is standard for the Timber, being made of walnut with a satin finish. A Monte Carlo-type comb is present, as is grip and forend checkering. The stock features a hinged-floorplate 4-round magazine for easy unloading. Only near-imperceptible handling marks are noted on the stock. The buttplate is of soft rubber for increased shooting comfort. Front and rear sling swivel studs are present.

This Bergara B-14 Timber is just in time for hunting season. It continues the best traditions of the quintessential American hunting rifle: a bolt-action in a handsome walnut stock, chambered in the extremely versatile .30-06. It remains highly suitable for medium game or target work out to a significant distance. Like New, this rifle is range- and woods-ready, with style, for a great price!
