Remington 700 ADL Deluxe .30-06 Bolt-Action Rifle, Tasco 3-9x40 Scope

Just in time for hunting season! This Remington 700 ADL Deluxe is a bolt-action rifle chambered in .30-06. This is a textbook example of the American hunting rifle: walnut stock, scope, chambered in 30-06. All factory rollmarks are present, indicating its place of manufacture as well as caliber designations and the like. The serial and barrel code date this rifle to 2008.

Overall Condition: Excellent condition, showing limited signs of prior use. The action appears to be in good working order.

Bore Condition: Excellent – clean, mirror finish, no signs of wear.

Furniture condition: Excellent – a few very minor scuffs and handling marks are noted on the pistol grip and forend. Small scuffs are noted on the trigger and guard.

Specific Condition Notes: The scope is crisp and clear and functions well – zoom knob turns smoothly. Very small, inconsequential dots of light surface oxidation are noted on the exterior of the barrel and bolt knob.

The Remington 700 is the most successful bolt-action rifle in America, with millions sold since its introduction in 1962. Its timeless styling, simple, well-thought-out design, high accuracy potential, vast aftermarket support, and reasonable price have made the Model 700 a staple in civil, police, and military use for every purpose imaginable. Remington offered the 700 in a vast array of configurations – this example is an ADL Deluxe, which sports several premium features normally reserved for the more upmarket BDL and CDL: a fine semi-gloss walnut stock with checkering and Monte Carlo comb; a blind magazine for added stock strength; a polished blued finish; and backup iron sights.

This Remington 700 features a typical bolt action with a two-lug bolt arrangement familiar to any shooter. The classic Remington side-mounted flip safety is present. A portion of the bolt is left in the white per tradition. The trigger is crisp and light, and features serrations. The action of this rifle is in Excellent condition – the bolt operates exceptionally smoothly with zero hangups or binding. The bluing on the action is in overall Excellent condition with only small instances of scuffs and nicks and some inconsequential surface oxidation.

The rifle is fitted with a Tasco 3-9x40, which offers an appropriate range of magnification for the ranges expected of this rifle. This scope features a simple duplex reticle. The scope is in Excellent condition with clear, crisp glass. Only very limited handling marks are noted on the scope.

The rifle’s 22” barrel is factory standard. Backup iron sights are fitted, with a front blade and a rear notch adjustable for windage and elevation The bore is in Excellent condition with sharp lands and grooves and a mirror bright finish. The target recessed crown is in similar condition.

The rifle’s furniture is standard for the ADL Deluxe, being of American walnut. A Monte Carlo-type comb is present, as is grip and forend checkering. The stock features a blind 4-round magazine for increased structural strength. a polymer type with aggressive grip and forend texturing. Only light wear and scuffs are noted on the stock. The plastic buttplate retains a classic style with its ornate RA motif.

This Remington 700 ADL Deluxe is just in time for hunting season. It continues the best traditions of the quintessential American hunting rifle: a bolt-action in a handsome walnut stock, chambered in the extremely versatile .30-06.
