The 10/22 is probably the most popular .22 rifle in America, and for good reason. Its low cost, extreme level of durability, vast aftermarket support, and high level of reliability make this a compelling rifle. Being a 75th Anniversary model, this example has a stainless action fitted into a beautiful blonde hardwood stock, along with unique engraving on the side of the bolt. This model calls to mind the many years of 10/22 production, starting in 1964 and continuing into the present.

The 18 ½ in barrel is original. Standard Ruger marks are visible on the receiver and barrel alike. A standard buckhorn rear sight is fitted, along with a fine brass bead front sight. Bore is in As New condition, with mirror-bright, sharp lands and grooves. No evidence of firing is noted. The muzzle is not threaded. The receiver is brushed stainless steel that is drilled and tapped from the factory. Fitted is a uniquely engraved bolt, featuring a celebratory banner reading “RUGER – 75 – 1949-2024”. The serial number similarly features an R75 prefix.

The rifle’s furniture is unique to the 75th Anniversary models and is in As New condition. The eye-catching blonde hardwood is unstained, giving it a very natural light coloration. It features front and rear checkering that is laser-cut, naturally darkening the wood and providing a pleasing contrast coloration. The stock further features a soft rubber buttpad and front and rear sling swivels.

This 10/22 75th Anniversary is a testament to the genius and success of the Ruger company. From 1949 onward, Ruger has put millions of firearms into the hands of responsible Americans, and shows no signs of slowing down. This example is As New, in immaculate unused condition, and will make a welcome addition to any gun collection.
