The Remington Model 597 is a semi-automatic rimfire rifle chambered in .22 WMR and configured with a 20-inch barrel. Its proprietary bolt-guidance system uses twin tool-steel guide rails to support smooth cycling, reliable feeding, and consistent accuracy. A barrel attachment clamp helps maintain positive lock-up, while nickel-Teflon plating on the bolt, hammer, and sear promotes durable, low-friction operation. The rifle features a black synthetic stock, adjustable front and rear iron sights, and a receiver that is grooved for standard rimfire rings and drilled and tapped for compatible scope bases.
