This Springfield Armory 1911 is a hammer-fired, single-action semiautomatic pistol chambered in .45 Auto (.45 ACP). This Springfield features custom gold plating by Seattle Engraving Center, along with extensive decorative engraving and matching ornamental grip panels. The exterior has a highly reflective gold finish across the slide, frame, trigger guard, and numerous controls. Floral and scrollwork engraving extends along both sides of the slide, incorporating curling leaves, flowing stems, and individual flower motifs. Defined borders frame the engraved areas, contrasting with the smooth, polished surfaces. Additional decorative engraving appears on portions of the frame and front strap. The gold-colored grip panels feature raised Medusa-style head medallions, surrounded by circular geometric borders. Greek-key patterns run around the outer edges, while scroll designs fill the areas above and below each central medallion. Matching gold-colored grip screws complete the exterior treatment. Features include a three-hole skeletonized trigger, an open-loop hammer, an extended beavertail grip safety with a raised contact pad, and a left-side manual thumb safety. The rear of the slide has closely spaced cocking serrations, while the front and rear iron sights have a matching gold-colored appearance.
