For sale is a Springfield Field Grade M1 Garand purchased from the CMP.  S/N is 1957157.  I purchased this rifle as I thought I wanted to become a collector.  However, I am now 75 years old with no family interested in this rifle, so, rather than let it get sold at an estate auction, I am selling it.   I have never even taken the rifle out of the case, and never fired it.  However, for those of you familiar with the CMP, they always test fire all weapons that are in serviceable conditions.


I live in western NC and can ship to your FFL. 


I also have some ammo and accessories that I am listing separately.  However, I am willing to sell everything together.
