Up for sale is a scarce John Jovino Co. conversion of the Smith & Wesson Model 25-2. In the early 1980s, the John Jovino gun shop in New York City, once the oldest gun shop in the country, turned a run of 6.5" N-frame 25-2s into 2.5" snubnose carry revolvers, mostly for NYPD and other police officers. This one has the signature Jovino features:

- A barrel cut to about 2.5", reblued, with the red ramp front sight relocated

- A ball-detent crane lock in place of the ejector rod lock

- A butt rounded to the round-butt profile, with Pachmayr grips

- A tuned double- and single-action trigger with a polished trigger face

- A blued finish and an adjustable rear sight

- Six rounds of .45 ACP in moon clips, or .45 Auto Rim

Condition: light holster wear on the edges, as the photos show.
