S&W Model 686 No-Dash (1984) – 4" Barrel, Pre-Lock, Factory "M" Stamp, Goncalo Alves Wood Grips

Selling a classic, highly desirable pre-lock Smith & Wesson Model 686 (no-dash) 357 magnum revolver manufactured in 1984. This is a medium L-frame .357 Magnum with a 4-inch barrel, featuring a pinned front ramp sight and an adjustable rear sight. I am the original owner.
This specific revolver has the factory "M" stamp inside the crane, indicating that the early S&W cylinder-binding recall modification has been completed (either performed before originally leaving the factory or completed via the official retrofitted service). It has a hammer-mounted firing pin, traditional internals, and NO internal key lock.
It comes equipped with period-correct Goncalo Alves wooden target grips which feature beautiful grain structure, crisp checkering, and sharp S&W medallions.
Condition:
Mechanics: Excellent. Lockup is tight, timing is spot-on, and the trigger pull is smooth in both double and single action.
Finish: Very clean brushed stainless steel finish with minor, normal handling and holster marks consistent with its age. No deep scratches or gouges.
Bore/Cylinder: Bore is bright with sharp rifling.
Grips: Excellent condition with no cracks or major chips.
