For sale is a good condition DOU Czech 98 Mauser.  This bolt action rifle has a 24 inch barrel with a light blue/patina look.  The serial numbers match except for the bolt.  This rifle is stamped 44 on the receiver and the German marking look to be peened off.  The bottom metal is stamped steel but it does retain the bayonet lug.  The bore has strong rifling and looks to have dried cosmoline.

\A dou code on a K98 Mauser designates the manufacturer as Waffenwerke Brunn (Located in Bystrica/Brno, Czechoslovakia, under German occupation during World War II)
