I have a old mauser made in Berlin ,with Chilean markings,dont know much about it a friends wife gave it to me when he died,I  know he shot it often enough and even reloaded 308 shells for it would sugest maybe have a gunsmith check it out .I have put 308 shells in it and closed the bolt locks up pretty tight,ejects the shells  in fair to good shape.200$
