anssen & Sons Belgian .410 Side-by-Side External Hammer Double

Description:
For sale is a scarce and attractive Janssen & Sons Belgian-made side-by-side double shotgun in .410 bore. This classic small-bore double features exposed/rebounding hammers, double triggers, top-lever opening, and a splinter forend.
The barrel flats carry proper Liège, Belgium proof marks, including the .410 chamber designation, confirming .410 bore  2½-inch chambers. The gun is fitted with handsome figured walnut, checkered wrist and forend, and retains its original old-world Belgian sporting-gun appearance.
This is a much less common configuration than the typical 12-gauge Belgian hammer gun and makes a fine addition to a .410 collection, vintage double-gun collection, or display of early European sporting arms.
