Springfield Echelon 4.0FC Gear Pac — 9mm, Viridian RFX11 Green Dot and Four Magazines Included

The Echelon is Springfield’s modular striker-fired pistol, built around the Central Operating Group — a serialised steel chassis that lifts out of the grip module, so the gun can change size and shape around the part that is legally the firearm. This is the full-size frame with a 4-inch barrel, 20+1, 24 ounces, in black Melonite.

This is the Gear Pac configuration, and the contents are the point: a Viridian RFX11 green dot factory installed, and four magazines — three 17-round and one 20-round. The standard Echelon ships with two magazines and an empty optic cut.

The Optic Is Already On It

The Viridian RFX11 comes mounted from the factory. No plate to source, no footprint to look up, no second order and no gunsmith. Green dots are also easier for most eyes to pick up in daylight than red — worth knowing if you have struggled to find a red dot against a bright target.

Four Magazines

Three 17-rounders and a 20-rounder. Buying three spare magazines for a pistol like this is a meaningful cost on its own, and it is the difference between a gun you can take to a class and one you reload between strings.

Central Operating Group

The serialised part is the chassis, not the frame. That means the grip module is a replaceable component — change the size, change the texture, change the gun around the registered core without a transfer. It is the same idea behind the SIG P320, executed with Springfield’s own locking geometry and a Picatinny rail moulded into the polymer.

Sighted For Backup

A luminescent front sight and a Tactical Rack U-Dot rear — the squared rear ledge lets you cycle the slide one-handed against a belt or a boot heel. Irons co-witness as backup under the optic rather than being an afterthought.
