Q Half Nelson 7.62 — 100% Titanium Direct-Thread Silencer, Rated to .300 Win Mag

The Half Nelson is Q’s compact .30 calibre can: 7 inches, 1.75 inches in diameter, and 12.2 ounces of 100% titanium. It is multi-caliber rated and goes all the way up to .300 Winchester Magnum, which is unusual in a can this light and this short.

Twelve ounces matters. Hang a two-pound can off a sporter barrel and the rifle stops handling like the rifle you bought; the Half Nelson is light enough that point of balance barely moves, which is the whole argument for titanium over stainless on a hunting gun.

Direct Thread — Nothing Else To Buy

This is the direct-thread version in 5/8x24, the standard .30 calibre thread. It screws straight onto a threaded barrel with no muzzle device, no adapter and no extra purchase. If you want quick-detach later Q makes the mounts, but out of the box this is complete.

Magnum Rated, Not Just .308 Rated

A can rated only to .308 is a liability behind a magnum. The Half Nelson is rated to .300 Win Mag, so it covers .308, 6.5 Creedmoor, 300 Blackout and the magnums off one tube rather than forcing a second purchase when you change rifles.

Half, Not Full

Q builds this in two lengths. The Half Nelson is 7 inches; the Full Nelson is 9. Shorter means less sound reduction and a handier rifle, longer means the reverse. This listing is the Half — if you specifically want the Full, say so and we will quote it instead rather than have you discover it at the counter.

Buying a Silencer Just Got Simple

No Form 4, no tax stamp, no wait. As of 9 October 2026 the ATF no longer requires a Form 4, a tax stamp, fingerprint cards, passport photographs or NFA registration to transfer a silencer. You fill out an ATF Form 4473 and pass a NICS background check — the same paperwork as buying a pistol — and you take it home the same day. Nothing to pay the federal government, and nothing to wait for.

Availability and collection. This silencer is ordered in from our distributor on purchase — allow 3–7 business days before you collect it. Collection is in person at Tyrant Tactical in Avondale, AZ.

Arizona residents. Straight over the counter on a 4473. Arizona excludes silencers held in compliance with federal law from its prohibited weapons definition, so there is no state permit and no state registration to deal with.

Out of state. We are selling these locally only. A silencer is still a firearm under the Gun Control Act and cannot be handed directly to a non-resident, so if you are outside Arizona it would have to route through a licensed dealer in your state — and we are not set up to do that on these.

Buyer responsibilities. You must not be a prohibited person; the 4473 and the NICS check establish that. The ATF guidance does not override state or local law, and some states ban silencers outright or tie their legality to a federal registration that no longer exists.
