Dead Air Mojave-9 — Modular 9mm Silencer, 3D-Printed Titanium, 1/2-28 Piston Included

The Mojave-9 is Dead Air’s modular 9mm can, built around a two-piece design that runs either 5.89 inches or 7.64 inches depending on how you configure it — 8.2 ounces in the short setup, 9.6 ounces long. The tube is 3D-printed 6AL-4V titanium with 7075 aluminium and stainless steel, at 1.405 inches in diameter. It is full-auto rated.

Inside is Dead Air’s Triskelion baffle system, designed to keep gas moving continuously through the can rather than stalling it. The practical result is the thing pistol-calibre shooters actually complain about — blowback. Less gas comes REDACTED face, which on a suppressed pistol or PCC matters as much as the decibel number does.

Two Cans in One

Run it long when you want maximum sound reduction off a carbine. Strip a section and run it short when you want a handgun to stay a handgun. That choice is normally made once, at purchase, by picking between two different products — here it is made at the bench in a minute, and you only paid for one silencer and will only file one transfer.

Low Blowback, By Design

The Triskelion baffle stack is the headline engineering feature and it exists to solve blowback rather than to shave a decibel. Anyone who has shot a suppressed Glock or an AR-9 and come away with stinging eyes and a gritty charging handle knows why that is worth paying for.

Mount Included

It ships with a 1/2-28 piston, so it is ready for the common 9mm thread straight out of the box. It also accepts Dead Air’s P-Series adapters and the three-lug Xeno adapter if you want to run it on a three-lug host.

Buying a Silencer Just Got Simple

The federal transfer tax on silencers went to $0 on 1 January 2026, and as of 9 October 2026 the ATF no longer requires a Form 4, a tax stamp, fingerprints, photographs or NFA registration to transfer one. It is a Form 4473 and a NICS check now — the same as buying a handgun, finished the same day. If you have been putting this off because of the paperwork and the wait, there is no longer any paperwork or any wait.

No Form 4, no tax stamp, no wait. As of 9 October 2026 the ATF no longer requires a Form 4, a tax stamp, fingerprint cards, passport photographs or NFA registration to transfer a silencer. You fill out an ATF Form 4473 and pass a NICS background check — the same paperwork as buying a pistol — and you take it home the same day. Nothing to pay the federal government, and nothing to wait for.

Availability and collection. This silencer is bought and paid for and is inbound to our shop. It can be reserved now and collected once it lands — we will give you the actual date, not an estimate. Collection is in person at Tyrant Tactical in Avondale, AZ.

Arizona residents. Straight over the counter on a 4473. Arizona excludes silencers held in compliance with federal law from its prohibited weapons definition, so there is no state permit and no state registration to deal with.

Out of state. We are selling these locally only. A silencer is still a firearm under the Gun Control Act and cannot be handed directly to a non-resident, so if you are outside Arizona it would have to route through a licensed dealer in your state — and we are not set up to do that on these.

Buyer responsibilities. You must not be a prohibited person; the 4473 and the NICS check establish that. The ATF guidance does not override state or local law, and some states ban silencers outright or tie their legality to a federal registration that no longer exists.
