Dead Air Sandman-L — 7.62 Quick-Detach Silencer, Rated to .300 Win Mag, KeyMo Brake Included

The Sandman-L is the long member of Dead Air’s Sandman family and has been their flagship .30 calibre can for years. It is 8.9 inches, 1.5 inches in diameter, and rated all the way up to .300 Winchester Magnum. Dead Air puts it at 31 dB of reduction on standard 7.62.

Length is the point of the L. The extra volume over the Sandman-S is what buys the sound reduction and the magnum rating, and it is why people choose this one specifically rather than the compact.

Local Arizona sale, collected in person at Tyrant Tactical in Avondale. Not shipped, no out-of-state transfers.

KeyMo Mount and Brake, In the Box

It ships with a 5/8x24 KeyMo muzzle brake, which is both the mount and a working brake. Quick-detach means it comes off the host rifle in seconds and returns to zero, and it means one can can move between rifles if you fit additional KeyMo muzzle devices. This is a complete package rather than a tube that still needs a mounting solution bought separately.

Built for Magnums

The .300 Win Mag rating is the specification that separates this from lighter .30 cans. A suppressor rated only to .308 is a liability behind a magnum, and the Sandman-L is built with the Cerakoted body and nitrided muzzle device to take it.

Buying a Silencer Just Got Simple

The federal transfer tax on silencers went to $0 on 1 January 2026, and as of 9 October 2026 the ATF no longer requires a Form 4, a tax stamp, fingerprints, photographs or NFA registration to transfer one. It is a Form 4473 and a NICS check now — the same as buying a handgun, finished the same day. If you have been putting this off because of the paperwork and the wait, there is no longer any paperwork or any wait.

Terms of Sale

Payment: Cash, debit card or GunTab at face value. Credit cards carry a 3% surcharge. No money orders, no personal checks.

Trades: No trades at this time.

No Form 4, no tax stamp, no wait. As of 9 October 2026 the ATF no longer requires a Form 4, a tax stamp, fingerprint cards, passport photographs or NFA registration to transfer a silencer. You fill out an ATF Form 4473 and pass a NICS background check — the same paperwork as buying a pistol — and you take it home the same day. Nothing to pay the federal government, and nothing to wait for.

Availability and collection. This silencer is bought and paid for and is inbound to our shop. It can be reserved now and collected once it lands — we will give you the actual date, not an estimate. Collection is in person at Tyrant Tactical in Avondale, AZ.

Arizona residents. Straight over the counter on a 4473. Arizona excludes silencers held in compliance with federal law from its prohibited weapons definition, so there is no state permit and no state registration to deal with.

Out of state. We are selling these locally only. A silencer is still a firearm under the Gun Control Act and cannot be handed directly to a non-resident, so if you are outside Arizona it would have to route through a licensed dealer in your state — and we are not set up to do that on these.

Buyer responsibilities. You must not be a prohibited person; the 4473 and the NICS check establish that. The ATF guidance does not override state or local law, and some states ban silencers outright or tie their legality to a federal registration that no longer exists. Confirm your own city, county and state rules before you buy. Nothing in this listing is legal advice.
