This is the Henry Big Boy Steel Side Gate Carbine (H012GMR) in .357 Magnum/.38 Special, which Henry's current catalog calls the H12 Classic Carbine. It loads through a side loading gate or the removable inner magazine tube, which makes unloading safe and easy. The 16.5" round blued barrel has a 1:16 twist. The receiver is blued steel and is drilled and tapped for Henry's scope mount. Sights are a brass bead front and a fully adjustable semi-buckhorn rear with diamond insert. The stock and forend are checkered American walnut with a straight grip, a black solid rubber recoil pad, sling swivel studs and a 14" length of pull. It has a large loop lever and a transfer bar safety. Henry lists 34" overall length and 6.59 lb. For reliable feeding with .38 Special, Henry recommends 158-grain loads close to .357 Magnum overall length. Made in USA.
