CZ 52 (also known as the vz. 52 or CZ 482) is a Cold War-era semi-automatic military pistol designed by Jan and Jaroslav Kratochvíl in Czechoslovakia. Roller-locked short-recoil operating system, similar to the German MG42 or HK MP5. Bakelite grip panels, frame mounted thumb safety/decocker, one 8-round single-stack magazine (8+1 total). Weighs roughly 1.96 lbs (0.95 kg) with an overall length of 8.25 inches and a 4.72-inch barrel. The 7.62×25mm Tokarev high-velocity round pistol. Manufactured by Česká Zbrojovka in Strakonice from 1952 to 1954, with about 200,000 units produced. Service use in Czechoslovakia lasted from 1952 until 1982.
