TandemKross spent years building the parts that make other people’s rimfires shoot better. The ADX is what happened when they built the whole gun. This is the pistol configuration: a 10.2-inch barrel threaded 1/2x28, 18.5 inches overall, and 2.33 pounds — and it feeds from standard Ruger 10/22 magazines, so the magazines you already own and the ones in every gun shop in the country all work in it.

The receiver is hardcoat anodised with a Teflon impregnation to cut bolt friction over high round counts, with an integrally machined Picatinny rail running its length, skeletonised to save weight. The charging handle sits on the left, so you can run the bolt with your support hand without breaking your firing grip or losing the sight picture. It comes apart with three pins, and splits into upper and lower on two self-retaining takedown pins.

This is the practical argument for the ADX over anything else in its class. A purpose-built competition rimfire usually means proprietary magazines at proprietary prices. The ADX takes the most common rimfire magazine ever made — so spares are cheap, available everywhere, and you probably already have a drawer of them.

Built For Running The Gun Hard

The details here are competition details. The left-side charging handle keeps your firing hand where it is. The Teflon-impregnated receiver is about what happens on round eight thousand, not round eight. The three-pin strip means cleaning it is a two-minute job rather than an evening.
