The Arma Zeka AZ-P1 Super Optics Special is a distinctive Czech-built 9mm competition pistol designed with performance shooting in mind. This example features the AZ-P1’s substantial full-size frame, aggressively lightened slide, extended controls, competition-style magwell, textured grip panels and frame surfaces, and a large multi-port compensator. The slide is prominently marked “Super Optics Special,” while the opposite side carries the AZ-P1 / Arma Zeka s.r.o. markings. Extensive machining throughout the slide and frame gives this pistol a striking appearance while clearly emphasizing its competition-oriented design. This example appears to be in new and factory test-fired only, based on our visual inspection. It comes with two magazines, cleaning brush/rod, and hard-shell carrying case, as pictured. The pistol shows only minor handling/test-fire evidence consistent with its condition. With its unusual Czech construction, heavily machined competition configuration, oversized magwell, compensator, adjustable-style competition controls, and uncommon presence in the U.S. market, this AZ-P1 Super Optics Special would make an especially interesting choice for the competition shooter or collector looking for something outside the more common 2011/CZ-style offerings.
