Factory wooden crate of Soviet 7.62×54R LPS ball, dated 1972. Stenciled 7,62 ЛПС ГЖ, 880 шт., 25 kg. Factory/lot marks Б 56-72-10 and ВТ 3/72, transport no. 744369. Orange 1.4 explosives label on the crate.

LPS is the standard light ball load: pointed bullet, mild-steel core, bimetallic (steel) case, Berdan primed. Not B-32 AP. Packed as 880 rounds, normally two sealed zinc cans of 440. Crate is strapped and stenciled as shown; cans not opened in these photos.
