Kimber CDS9 Stainless 9mm 3.18in Optics Ready Pistol with Rail — New In Box

The CDS9 arrived in early 2025 as Kimber’s successor to the Micro 9, and it is the most capable compact the company has built: hammer-fired, fully ambidextrous, and high capacity in a pistol that is only 6.2 inches long and 21.44 ounces. This is the stainless, optics-ready configuration with the accessory rail.

It runs a 3.18-inch barrel on an aluminum frame with black nylon grip panels, a flat-faced trigger, white 3-dot sights and front and rear slide serrations. Two magazines come in the box at two different capacities.

Two Magazines, Two Capacities

The CDS9 ships with one 13-round magazine and one 15-round magazine, so the pistol is 13+1 or 15+1 depending on which is in it. The 13-rounder keeps the grip short for carry; the 15 extends it for range work or a spare. Getting both in the box is part of the value here rather than an upsell.

RMSc Optic Cut and Accessory Rail

The slide is factory cut to the RMSc footprint, which covers the common compact red dots. No optic is included — the white 3-dot irons are what it ships with. The frame carries an accessory rail for a light or laser, which not every CDS9 configuration has.

Fully Ambidextrous Controls

The thumb safety and controls are mirrored on both sides, so the pistol runs the same for a left-handed shooter as a right-handed one without parts swaps. On a compact carry gun that is a meaningful difference from simply having a reversible magazine catch.
