Glock discontinued the 21SF, and unfired examples have become genuinely hard to find. Used guns still turn up; new-in-box ones largely do not. Retailer listings for this part number are showing out of stock across the board, which is the whole reason this one is worth a look rather than just another used .45 on the board.

The 21SF is the short-frame version of the full-size G21 in .45 ACP. The SF frame is reduced front to back, from the backstrap to the trigger, which shortens trigger reach without giving up anything else — the same 13+1 capacity, the same 4.61-inch barrel, the same sight radius as a standard G21. It exists for shooters who find the standard .45 double-stack grip too large to get proper finger placement on the trigger.

What The Short Frame Changes

The SF frame shortens the distance from the backstrap to the trigger compared to a standard G21. For medium and smaller hands that is the difference between stretching for the trigger and getting a clean pad-of-the-finger press on a .45 ACP double-stack. Capacity, barrel length and magazine compatibility are unchanged, so it gives up nothing to the standard gun.

Standard Glock Rail, Not Picatinny

The 21SF was produced with two different frame rails over its run. This one carries the standard Glock rail. It is worth knowing before you buy a weapon light or laser for it, since a MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny accessory will not seat correctly on a Glock-rail frame.

Why New In Box Matters Here

Glock no longer produces the 21SF in any configuration, and the supply that remains is overwhelmingly used. Values reflect that gap plainly: price guides put an unfired 21SF near $595 against roughly $367 for a used one. This is not a worn duty gun or a police trade-in — it is unfired, with both magazines, the full accessory kit and the factory case intact.
