This is a beautiful S&W model 38 in .38 special with a 1 1/2" barrel. This gun definitly show nicer than the pics suggest. The finish is bright and shiny as well as the bore. It shows minimal use and has a smooth action. The odd thing is that I can't find the date of manufacture even though I checked in the S&W "bible" and the website. There is a notation in the book that says that some expermental versions exist with odd serial number prefixes. I believe that this one has some small variation that the factory produced before adopting or rejecting the change for future models. This could be ultra rare, but I can't verify it. I am asking $750 obo in trade value or $700 cash for the revolver. Trades welcome.
