For sale is a good condition B. Guyot side by side 12 gauge shotgun.  This shotgun has 27.25 inch barrels with a nice blue/patina look to them, choked F/M.  The wood is in nice condition and does show light handling marks.  The checkering is a light textured with smooth tops not points.  There are no cracks in the wood.  The receiver is engraved with a scroll pattern, has double triggers and a tang safety.  The bore condition isn't the best.  It does show spots of heavy pitting throughout the length of both barrels, not rust or corrosion on the outside of this shotgun. There are proof marks stamped on the barrel lug and the serial numbers match from the barrel to the receiver.  The bottom of the receiver is stamped B. Guyot, Paris, 50 RUE DE LYON

(often marked as N. Guyot or B. Guyot / Arquebusier / Armurier) was a highly respected high-end Parisian gunmaker and retailer active in the 19th and early 20th centuries, with historical shop addresses in Paris such as Rue de Lyon and Rue de Ponthieu.
