This Smith & Wesson 19-9 is a factory-custom, carry-ready .357 Mag revolver. It is tuned from the factory with many features intended to enhance carry and shooting characteristics, including: ported barrel, front night sight, tuned trigger, boot grip, and much more. This particular gun comes ready to carry with a Masters’s leather holster and a Safariland speedloader. This Smith is a great way to get the full power of the .357 Magnum round in a compact, handy carry size, all at a very attractive price. All expected maker’s marks are present on this handgun.

Condition

Overall Condition: Like New in Box condition. This revolver shows vanishingly small traces of prior ownership and has its serial-matched factory case present.

Bore Condition: Like New – bright, with sharp lands and grooves. Very few traces of past firing are present.

Frame Condition: Like New – Extremely faint signs of use. Very faint cylinder drag line is visible; drag line visible on recoil shield from rear cylinder axis pin.

Specific Condition Notes: Both locking keys are present in the factory case. Masters’s holster is near-unused. Speedloader works well.

Smith & Wesson has been making the Model 19 .357 Magnum since 1957, and this model has undergone many revisions (dash changes) over its production history. This particular example is the 19-9, which was the reintroduction of the model in 2018 after nearly two decades’ absence. This specific Smith has gone through their Performance Center custom shop for ultimate carry performance and is quite different from the classic Model 19: it has a shorter, ported barrel; front night sight, highly-tuned trigger; boot grips for enhanced concealment characteristics; as well as several minor touches to enhance the shooting experience. This example was made in 2022 and is in Like New in Box condition, showing vanishingly limited signs of prior use.

The 3 in barrel is factory original. All expected Smith & Wesson marks are visible on the frame and barrel. The barrel is made of stainless steel with a black Cerakote finish, and features a large port and a full-length underlug to control recoil under fire. A Trijicon serrated front sight is fitted for aiming in low light.

Several subtle upgrades have been made to this piece from the Performance Center, including: a trigger overtravel stop, very well-tuned trigger, a ball detent cylinder lock, and chamfered cylinder edge and charge holes.

The frame is in Like New condition with similarly little wear or handling marks. The gun features a smooth combat trigger and combat-style hammer (both beautifully case-color hardened) with fine checkering. Factory grease is still visible on the recoil shield and crane. The top of the frame is drilled and tapped for aftermarket optics mounting. The expected keylock hole is present. The Smith & Wesson Performance Center logo is laser-etched onto the left side of the frame. The pistol ships with a nearly-unused Masters’s handmade leather holster and a Safariland speedloader, as well as all factory papers, serial-matched box, and all factory accessories.
