This rifle qualifies as an Antique. It has a 21 inch barrel, and has the cleaning rods in the butt of the rifle. It is a single-shot that is chambered in .45-70. It was a military rifle featuring the iconic hinged breechblock mechanism developed by the Springfield Armory. The bore is clean and bright with very good rifling visable. The overall condition of this Antique is excellent considering its age. There are marks on the metal and wood. It also has some minor pitting on the grip and trigger guard. this would make an amazing addition to any collection.
