Steyr Model 1909 semi-automatic pocket pistol chambered in 6.35mm. This Curio & Relic handgun is a 1921 production pistol and features the distinctive tip-down barrel design associated with the Steyr-Pieper pattern. The pistol has a blued type finish, fixed sights, and checkered hard rubber grip panels with the Steyr logo. Barrel length is approximately 2 inches. Markings include Austrian proof house stamps and Pieper patent markings, with crisp and legible manufacturer markings noted. Serial number 95555 places production within the 1921 serial range referenced for this model.

This pistol is used. The bright bore, good mechanical condition, and approximately 90% + finish remaining, although it is unknown if it was refinished at some point in the last 105 years. A scuff is present on the left grip panel along with marks, finish loss, and tiny pits. The Model 1909 utilizes a tip-up barrel system that allows the chamber to be accessed without retracting the slide. The recoil spring arrangement and separate upper housing design are characteristic features of this early Steyr pocket pistol configuration.
