The gun serial is RW 309428. It is the octagon . I believe it was manufactured in 1915. The top of the barrel measuring down to the opening of the slide is 23 and 1/8 inches. The gun definitely shows wear and does have a couple cracks in the stock.


MARKINGS;


Marked Remington UMC trademark on the butt of the stock as well as behind the trigger loop on the receiver. The serial number is located under the receiver. Stamped Remington trademark on the barrel behind the iron sight. On the left side of the iron side is marked .22 short, long or long rifle. in front of the iron site is marked Remington arms, union metallic cartridge, CO, Remington Work, ILION, N. Y. You. S. A. Underneath that is marked Peter's patents, Jan 5,1909, Oct 12, 1909, Mar 8, 1910, Nov 21, 1911, Apr 16, 1912


Works fine I purchased it from a local gun store here in Wichita for 600.00 and not looking to make money on it just what I spent. It's too heavy for my son to shoot.
