Older Marlin Model 1894 lever-action rifle chambered in .44 Magnum. This is a desirable JM-stamped, North Haven-made rifle from before Marlin added the cross-bolt safety.
The rifle retains its original walnut stock and forearm, iron sights, full-length magazine tube, and classic straight-grip configuration. It is in good used condition with honest handling marks and finish wear from age and use. The wood remains solid, and the metal has developed some normal wear and patina.
This is a genuine older Marlin—not a newer Remington-production rifle. It would make an excellent woods, deer, or hog rifle and is also increasingly collectible due to its JM stamp and pre-safety configuration.
