When I got this rifle, it was in a troy chassis. I sold the chassis separately without realizing that the rifle did not have the parts for the rear sites since the chassis uses that area for its own mounting hardware. I figured I would simply order the replacement parts for the rear site and then health caught up with me and time past and I realized I was never going to get around to it. I have links to the parts. It is also missing the top barrel cover, though I do have the link that locks them together. The front site was pressed out of its groove, but I have that part. There’s nothing functionally wrong with the rifle at all, but it does need to have those parts replaced. I’m going to include links here to those parts, though you might be able to find them cheaper elsewhere, or maybe some of you have these things laying around in your parts bins. I cannot shoot the 308 caliber anymore, so this rifle will never be used by me. Typical listing price for a good used M1 a tends to be in the $1400-$1500 range. I am willing to sell this for hey comfortably low price since the buyer would be taking it upon himself to order and installed a few missing pieces. I can’t afford to go lower than my asking price, and I’m not looking for trades. I will also include a long gray soft zipper case that fits the rifle perfectly. This is the 22 inch version, so a long case is needed. Also included are two 20 round and one 10 round steel magazines. Stock is black fiberglass and includes the flip up shoulder plate. I also have one box of ammo. I can’t remember at the moment if it’s 20 rounds or 40, but I’m including it either way.
