This is a 1990 West German SIG Sauer P226 in 9mm. It was made before German reunification, when SIG Sauer pistols were being produced in West Germany. These early P226s are sought after because they use the original stamped/folded carbon-steel slide construction and represent the classic generation of the P226.

 

What makes this particular one more collectible is that it’s all matching—the frame, slide and barrel are original to the pistol and carry the correct German proof markings. The ‘KA’ proof code dates it to 1990, and the slide is actually marked ‘Made in W. Germany.
