Armi Sport Model 1861 Springfield US Percussion Civil War Rifle Musket, .58 Cal, mfg. circa 1980's/90's. This is a fine quality fully functional reproduction that would be great for reenacting or blackpowder shooting. The metal retains it's bright armory white finish throughout with only very light spotting beginning to form from age and some surface oxidation on the buttplate. The lock is correctly marked "U.S. / SPRINGFIELD" beneath the American Eagle with "1861" dated at the rear and over the breech. The stock has a rich cherry color and is excellent with no cracks, chips, or marring whatsoever. Post front sight with flip-up leaf rear sight, "US" marked buttplate, "U" marked barrel bands, original ramrod and sling swivels with brown leather sling. The action is crisp and functions perfectly. Clean original nipple. Great bore with clean sharp rifling front to back and just the slightest bit of blackpowder residue that should remove with a proper scrubbing. A sharp looking musket ready for the field or range! Text:REDACTED/p>
