This Custom 54 caliber percussion Hawken style rifle has a browned straight octagon 33”x 1” barrel with 1:66 twist and fitted with a buckhorn rear sight and German Silver blade front sight. The bore is very good – bright and shiny with good lands and groves. The P++ grade Walnut stock is mounted with browned steel furniture including a Hawken style patch box and a poured pewter nose cap. Stamped on the inside of the Griffith percussion Hawken lock is GTC – for Griffith Tool Company. It is activated by Hawken style long bar double set triggers. Please Note: There are scattered patches in the barrel’s outside metal finish where the browning didn’t take. The lock and trigger have been set up to require cocking the hammer to set the triggers and fire the gun. Back in the day, this was often a common gun building practice. Due to the oddity, we are selling this rifle “AS-IS”.  Length of pull is 13-1/2”, Weight is 8.8lbs and Overall Length is 448”. Good wood to metal fit. Maker Unknown. Condition: Good – AS-IS.
