Springfield Armory Model 1899 Krag-Jørgensen bolt-action rifle chambered in .30-40 Krag. Classic U.S. military action featuring the distinctive side-loading magazine, magazine cutoff, and manual safety.


This rifle has been sporterized with a shortened/sporter-style wood stock and recoil pad. Receiver has also been drilled/tapped for a scope mount. Metal and wood show normal wear and handling marks consistent with age and use. Overall it presents nicely for a rifle that’s more than 120 years old.


Bolt cycles smoothly, safety and magazine cutoff operate properly, and the rifle appears mechanically functional. Bore/accuracy have not been evaluated unless otherwise stated.


A neat piece of American firearms history that would make a good shooter, hunting rifle, or affordable entry into the Krag platform without paying collector prices for an untouched military example.
